Dr. Ebel is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or D.O. This means she emphasizes whole-person treatment and care: mind, body, and spirit. She recognizes the interdependence of different systems of the body. DOs receive an extra 2,000 hours of training in the nervous, muscular and skeletal systems. They are skilled in biomechanical evaluation and osteopathic manipulation. DOs stress wellness, preventative medicine, nutrition and exercise.
Physician Assistant's, or PAs are medical professionals who have undergone extensive training modeled after that of a physician. They earn a Master's Degree and are licensed to practice under the authority of a physician. PAs are able to perform many of the tasks of a physician, including writing prescriptions, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and performing minor procedures.
